Prince Buster with the Determinations & DJ Gaz Mayall@ Shinjuku Liquid Room (10th Feb '03) Part3--Prince Buster with the Determinations(1) The oldest man in the house, I thought I was, but I was wrong as there is another "has to be" old one on stage called Prince Buster. I hear he, Cecil Campbell, was born in 1938 and he should be about 65 but the question is "Does he look old?" The answer is absolutely not. I have got a video called "This is Ska" recorded in 1964 and he is there in New York presenting ska music to the US, but I don't see much difference of him now and then. The songs he was singing on stage were not new, but still fresh as they were ages ago. The Determination was perfect to back him up as the music was strictly authentic and we could see they were there to back him up.
